Wowzaradio is a cloud broadcasting platform. Depending on your plan, membership may include station hosting and streaming, automated 24/7 programming (Auto Station and AutoDJ), AI voice and DJ tools, scheduling and clock management, a media library and uploader, a public station directory, listener analytics, embeddable players, community and fan club spaces, a digital store, advertising and sponsorship tools, licensing submissions, wallets, loyalty rewards, and payouts.
Features, quotas and limits vary by plan (Hobbyist, Creator, Pro, Network). We may add, change or retire features, and we will make reasonable efforts to notify members of material changes.
You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent where you live) to create an account. You are responsible for the accuracy of your account details, for keeping your credentials and stream keys secure, and for all activity that happens under your account.
Inactive free accounts are paused, have files cleared and are eventually deleted in steps described in our dormant account policy. Paid accounts are never deleted for inactivity.
"Your Content" means anything you upload, generate, schedule, stream or otherwise submit: audio, music, podcasts, voice tracks, jingles, station IDs, artwork, metadata, written posts and advertising material.
You keep ownership of Your Content. You are solely responsible for holding all rights, licences and clearances required to broadcast it — including master, publishing, performance, mechanical and any neighbouring rights applicable in your territory.
By creating an account and publishing content, you grant Wowzaradio a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, encode, transcode, reproduce, publicly perform, stream, syndicate, excerpt and otherwise distribute Your Content across the Wowzaradio network — including other member stations, network channels, automated rotations, embedded players, the public station directory, third-party aggregators and promotional clips — without any additional or separate compensation beyond the revenue share, licensing and payout programmes described in section 5.
In plain English: your station and its content can be played to listeners across the network so that other stations, listeners and partners can discover you. You are not owed a separate fee each time that happens. What you earn from the network is what the revenue share, licensing marketplace, tipping, store and advertising programmes pay out.
This licence also covers short promotional use — clips, previews, artwork, station name and logo — for marketing the network and your station within it.
The licence lasts for as long as Your Content is on the platform, plus a reasonable period for backups, caches, play logs and archives. You can withdraw content at any time by deleting it or your station (see section 10); we will stop new distribution, though copies already delivered to listeners, cached by third parties, or embedded in historical logs, cue sheets and archived episodes may persist.
If you hold content under an exclusive agreement that prevents this network licence, do not upload it.
This network and promotional licence does not, by itself, authorize selling your recordings as compilation downloads. Paid compilation distribution requires the separate recording-rights and royalty agreement described in section 5D.
Compensation for network distribution is delivered exclusively through the programmes we operate: ad revenue share, the sync/licensing marketplace, listener tips and Super Chat, the digital store, fan club subscriptions, and loyalty rewards. Applicable rates, splits and thresholds are shown in your plan and in the relevant dashboards, and may be updated with notice.
Payouts are made to the payout method on file once the minimum threshold is met. You are responsible for your own taxes, and for accurate payout and royalty-split information. We may withhold payouts pending verification, chargebacks, disputes or suspected fraud.
Music supplied through Wowzaradio (DJ Pool, catalogue, starter rotations and openly licensed libraries) is music licensed for use on participating internet radio stations under the terms of our service agreement. It is not copyright-free, and it is not licensed for every use or every territory. Each track's recorded licence, territories and permitted uses apply, and music you supply yourself still needs the licences required in your country.
Approved resellers may buy client stations at wholesale rates (Reseller Starter and Reseller Pro, plus per-station extras) and give clients limited access to those stations. The reseller plan renews monthly on the reseller's card and is adjusted automatically when client stations are added or removed. Resellers set their own client prices and may bill clients themselves, in which case they are responsible for their own agreements, invoices, taxes, support and refunds with those clients.
Resellers may instead let a client pay online. The client then buys the station service from Wowzaradio at the price the reseller set, renewing monthly. Wowzaradio keeps a 10% platform fee and pays the remainder to the reseller's PayPal account as a commission, after a 7-day clearing period and once at least $25 is due. We may hold or reverse amounts tied to refunds, chargebacks, failed payments or suspected fraud. Resellers are responsible for their own taxes on payouts.
Resellers must make sure their clients accept and follow these Terms, including acceptable use and music licensing rules, and are responsible for content broadcast on their client stations. Clients use a free Wowzaradio account and can only use the access their reseller grants; a reseller may revoke client access at any time. We may suspend a reseller or any client station for breach, and reseller approval, plan, station limits and wholesale rates are set by Wowzaradio staff.
Reseller branding (name, logo, web address) must not imply affiliation with Wowzaradio beyond the reseller relationship, and music licensing remains a separate paid add-on per station.
Human artists and AI-assisted music artists may submit recordings for DJ Pool review. Submitter contact and rights-holder details, release details, cover art, and a human or AI-generated origin declaration are required. AI-generated recordings also require confirmation that the applicable provider and rights holders permit the proposed commercial use.
Submitting a recording does not guarantee approval, airplay, compilation selection or payment. Ordinary DJ Pool submission is promotional only. Approval and rejection notifications are sent to the submitted contact address; email delivery is not guaranteed. Staff may permanently purge rejected submissions, subject to necessary legal records and copies already lawfully distributed.
You must have permission for the recording, composition, artwork, names and other submitted material. An AI provider's commercial-use permission does not replace any additional rights, licences or consent required for the intended use.
Digital music appears in the Digital tab of the Wowzaradio Shop. DJ Pool compilations are created and managed by authorized administrators and staff, not ordinary sellers. These are digital downloads, not physical CDs unless a listing expressly says otherwise. Each selected recording requires accurate artist and available label credits, commercial recording and artwork permissions, and a short audio sample before publication.
Artist participation requires an active Creator subscription or higher Creator-capable plan, creator enrollment, an accurate PayPal payout destination that the creator confirms they control, and acceptance of the selected album's separate recording-rights and royalty agreement. Subscription alone does not guarantee selection, publication, sales or earnings. No paid redistribution right is inferred from DJ Pool approval or the general network licence.
Each artist's agreed rate is set for that album as either a percentage of its sale price or a flat amount per album sold. Administrators approve the terms before artist acceptance; changed terms require renewed approval and acceptance. Royalties accrue only on completed sales and are subject to refunds, reversals, chargebacks and rights disputes. No universal royalty percentage or flat amount is promised.
Compilation earnings use 30-day accounting periods. After a period closes, an administrator reviews and authorizes eligible payouts through PayPal only. This is a review cycle, not a promise of automatic payment on day 30. Eligibility checks, unresolved refund adjustments, inaccurate destination details, disputes, provider delays or failed transfers can hold payment. A payout is not recorded as paid merely because it was submitted to PayPal; its result must be confirmed. Creators are responsible for their taxes and PayPal account requirements.
Loss of subscription eligibility may pause participation or payout release; it does not, by itself, erase already accrued legitimate royalties. Such balances remain subject to the accepted agreement, reconciliation and applicable law. AI-assisted tools may draft sleeve notes or cover concepts, but must not invent real artist identities, label affiliations or permissions.
The listing identifies the album or track, price and available samples. Samples are short previews, not full recordings. Full digital files become available through your purchase library after a completed purchase; existing product and purchase links continue to work.
A purchase grants personal listening and download access only unless an express additional licence is provided. Buying a download does not grant ownership of copyright, resale, redistribution, public performance or broadcast rights. Any broadcast or other commercial use needs its own applicable permissions.
Digital purchase refunds and access are subject to the listing, the accepted purchase terms and applicable consumer law. Nothing in these terms excludes mandatory rights for faulty, misdescribed or undelivered digital content, or any legally required withdrawal rights. Where immediate supply requires consent or acknowledgment under local law, these terms alone do not replace it. Refunded sales do not generate payable royalties.
You agree not to use Wowzaradio to:
We may moderate, mute, remove content, take a station off air, or suspend an account that breaches these rules.
AI DJs, voice synthesis, music generation, news and weather breaks, copilots and assistants produce output automatically and may be inaccurate. You are responsible for reviewing AI output before it goes to air, and for complying with the terms of any third-party AI provider or key you connect. Voice cloning requires the documented consent of the person whose voice is used.
AI-assisted content must carry the appropriate disclosure. Human hosts are the network's presenters; AI hosts provide off-air coverage and identify themselves on air at least once an hour. Review AI-assisted artist credits, artwork and rights information before publication.
The platform integrates services such as payment processors, AI providers, storage and CDN vendors, ingest servers and music sources. Your use of those services is also governed by their terms. Content sourced from public-domain or Creative Commons catalogues must keep its required attribution — the acknowledgements export exists for that purpose.
Paid plans bill in advance on a recurring basis until cancelled. Cancelling stops future renewals; access continues until the end of the paid period. Except where required by law, fees already paid are non-refundable. Failed payments may result in downgrade or suspension.
You may delete a station or close your account at any time from your dashboard. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms, create legal risk, or remain dormant. On termination, your stations stop broadcasting and your content is scheduled for deletion, subject to the retention noted in section 4.
The service is provided "as is". We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free broadcasting, specific listener numbers, earnings, or the accuracy of automated content. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost revenue or goodwill.
You agree to indemnify Wowzaradio against claims arising from Your Content or your breach of these terms — including rights-holder claims about material you broadcast.
We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced in the What's New panel or by email. Continuing to use the service after an update means you accept the revised terms.
