Every September, in the leafy Philadelphia hinterlands, a 1770s historic site morphs into a surreal dance gathering. Picnic blankets brush against Fort Mifflin’s brick walls as airplanes descend above. Bombproof shelters evolve into natural wine caves. Ravers swarm muddy parade grounds, initially intended for military drills. Grassy patches on the Delaware River are decorated with hanging strobes and a tent that resembles a polyester Pringle. Lasers by Klip Collective flicker on algae in the Liquid Moat. In service of the goofy motto Peace Love Unity Respect Transcendence (PLURT), Making Time ∞ attracts an expanding, refreshingly curious audience.
